Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I know if I need an All Star Accounting bookkeeper?
-If you keep receipts and important financial documents in a shoe box, trash bag, a literal hole in the wall, etc..
-If you desire to focus more on growing and developing your business than reconciling bank statements.
-If you find your free time at home and with family is being consumed by attempting to do all the bookkeeping yourself.
-If you only know the financial health of your business by looking at your bank balance.
-If you have a bookkeeper that does not show up when they say, bills you without telling you what they did, or simply has gone AWOL.
2. Why do I need an All Star Accounting bookkeeper in particular?
Our bookkeepers have specific knowledge and experience in bookkeeping and accounting concepts. They have not just taken a QuickBooks training class and decided to call themselves a "bookkeeper". Also, we always stand behind the work of our bookkeepers, if there is ever a problem, concern, or you just want to compliment your bookkeeper, we are hear to listen to you!
3. What is your bookkeeping rate and billing process?
We invoice monthly and charge a flat hourly rate for all of our bookkeeping services, it's that simple! We never bill you for add-ons or hidden charges you never knew about. We also never require a minimum number of hours billed in a given week or month, giving you the flexibility to decide how much work is to be done. Since we are continually growing and expanding to new markets across the U.S. please contact us directly for our billing rate in your area. Additionally, we require a up front, fully refundable, deposit to begin working on your account
4. Is my business's information safe with All Star Accounting?
Yes, we make it a top priority to keep your financial information safe and confidential. All of our bookkeepers have undergone comprehensive state and national background checks to ensure the safety of your information.
5. Do your bookkeepers work at my office or is it only done remotely?
We provide both services! We realize that having someone else handle your financial information is a sensitive matter so we always want you to be able to develop a relationship and sense of trust with your new bookkeeper. Our bookkeepers can always work on site at your location, remotely from their home office, or a combination of both. It all depends on your business or organization's specific needs, call us or e-mail us today for a free consultation!
6. Is my business too small or too large for your bookkeeping services?
Not at all! If you have bookkeeping needs, which is one of the few things that all businesses and organizations have in common, we can help. We can work with you on an as-needed basis or on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. We customize all of our services to each individual client.
7. Do you provide tax or CPA services?
We do not provide any services in regards to filing federal taxes nor do we provide CPA services. We are a full charge bookkeeping firm. If you do not have a CPA or Enrolled Agent (a tax specialist) contact us and we can refer you one of our trusted partners!
8. How can All Star Accounting save my business/organization money?
By having one of our dedicated bookkeepers, you can finally have someone you can count on to send out invoices on time, address a backlogged accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding client payments. We have on many occasions found thousands of dollars in unrealized revenue by simply reviewing accounts receivable, sending out invoices that had been looked over, and/or following up with clients that have yet to pay.
We can also SAVE your business significant amounts of cash by maintaining your books throughout the year instead of sending them to your CPA and being charged a MUCH higher rate to do your books at tax. This is of course contingent on the hope that your CPA will have time to do this during tax time.
9. I have a CPA do I still need All Star Accounting?
Yes! Much of the time, a CPA is not interested in doing bookkeeping, it becomes a necessary evil in order to focus on the higher level accounting tasks such as business consultations, tax accounting, long term planning, business valuations, etc. This is why most CPAs charge their full rate (or at least one MUCH higher than ours!) to do bookkeeping. All of the CPAs we work with have specifically told us that is makes their life easier when a client of theirs has a clean and up to date set of books to work with.
